Arkansas Division of Mental Health Services |
The Division of Mental Health Services is organized within three functional components:
CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION The overall direction, coordination, and administrative oversight of the state-operated programs.
ARKANSAS STATE HOSPITAL 90 beds for acute psychiatric admission; a 60-bed forensic treatment services program which offers assistance to circuit courts throughout the state; a 16-bed adolescent treatment program for youth 13 to 18; and a program for juvenile sex offenders.
Arkansas Health Center A 350-bed psychiatric nursing home licensed as a skilled nursing facility, serves the needs of the elderly and persons with disabilities who require specialized services or programs. The program emphasizes the provision of services to special-need groups and individuals with cognitive dysfunctions.
