COMMUNITY INTEGRATION
Sharing in fun community events is exciting and rewarding for members. Mountain View members enjoyed participating in the
Mountain View Beanfest. Members set up a booth to raise money for the recreation account. They sold chicken and dumplings,
beans, cornbread, cookies, apple cider, sodas and coffee. Staff and members worked hard to make this endeavor a success, and
had a great time in the process! Members sold out of food several times, despite two days’ of cooking in preparation. The
event was a great learning experience for everyone, and members are already anticipating future community-based events. The
members raised over $1700.00! Plans are being made for members to occupy a booth at Toad Suck Daze in Conway in the spring,
the Ozark Folk Festival in Mountain View, and a return to the Bean Fest again next fall.
