Program Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Department and Status: Clinical, Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED;
- Valid drivers' license and ability to access and transport members in all company vehicles if applicable;
- Organizational, communication and time management skills;
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere;
- Honest, dependable, self motivated and dedicated;
- Must be able to pass company paraprofessional training;
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs.;
- and Possess values congruent with this agency's philosophy and mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain certifications in CMP, CPI, CPR, First Aide and AED courses;
- Must have annual training in company mandated courses;
- Plan, organize and facilitate psychosocial education groups in consultation with Program Supervisor and/or Program Director, ensuring activities meet the needs of the member;
- Maintain healthy relationships, advocate for the members to ensure needs are met and supervise medication according to policy and procedures;
- Monitor the health and safety of members, the signs and symptoms of their mental illness, being aware of any chronic mental health problems, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff;
- Understand and use effectively program materials, including tele-video system, ensuring supplies are not lost or wasted;
- Coordinate effectively with administrative, clinical and all other appropriate staff;
- Provide safe, law abiding transportation;
- Adequate delivery of services and timely documentation, i.e., day notes, group reports and individual services;
- Maintain open communication with the Branch Manager, Program Director, Program Supervisor and all other appropriate staff;
- Must know and abide by Birch Intentions; Demonstrate compliance with all Birch policies and procedures and commitment to the Birch mission and philosophy;
- Must perform all other duties assigned by supervisor.
