Birch Tree Communities, Inc. Melbourne branch serves 10 members that reside at the group home and 7 members who are living independently in the community. The main campus of Ozarka College is located in Melbourne where several members attend GED classes and courses for general college education. Melbourne provides day treatment Monday thru Friday at the program center located in the beautiful and scenic Ozark Mountain town of Oxford. Day treatment is offered Saturdays at the group home 8am-4pm. The group home is located close to town within walking distance of a small café that offers a variety of burgers and milkshakes. Melbourne boasts several small shops as well as a Dollar General and Fred’s. The group home has recently been newly furnished with leather couches and love seats. There is a washer and dryer located on site. There is a fenced in back yard with a gazebo for quiet and private meditation. Each bedroom is private with a shared bathroom with one other person. The walls are decked with original member artwork. Melbourne also has several lovely parks and walking trails. Ozarka College hosts movie events monthly with low cost of admission and frequently has concerts many members enjoy.
