Mountain View is a small, 10-bed group home just a block from the Mountain View courthouse square. Soon to open a separate day treatment program facility in a local strip mall, the group home offers residential and therapeutic rehabilitative services.
The group home setting provides many opportunities for individual and group therapies. Members participate in psychosocial rehabilitation, as well as individual outpatient, support interventions, case management, and treatment planning activities. Staff support enables members to learn symptom management and independent living skills to help them in their recovery goals.
Mountain View members are able to participate in the many community events that take place locally. Members recently participated in the annual Bean Fest and folk music festivities. On a recent trip to Branson, Missouri members visited the Butterfly Palace and Celebration City. The Mountain View staff ensure that members are able to participate in enjoyable activities.
During the summer members are able to swim every day at the local pool. They have adopted a mile on the local highway, and work together to ensure this area of the road is litter-free. This activity also enables members to socialize and exercise together.
The Mountain View Group Home provides a rehabilitative treatment facility, as well as a home-like environment where individuals can learn and grow together during their journey toward recovery and independent living.
