You might ask, “How can I help?” There are always a number of ways that you, yes YOU can help us to continue to further the mission of Birch Tree Communities, Inc. “What is your mission?” you might ask. Our mission at BTC is A Satisfying Life in the Community. So, what does that mean? Well, it’s different for every single person. What is “satisfying” for me might be the very opposite of “satisfying” for you. All of us have different likes, tastes, desires, etc. and our members are no different. If they want to get a job, we’re going to help them figure out what they need to do to accomplish that. If they want to go back to school, we’re going to help them make sure they know what steps to take to accomplish that. For some, “satisfying” may just be living in their own place or having nice, clean clothes to wear, or being able to go to church on Sundays, or stopping smoking. The possibilities of what “satisfying” means are endless.

We have several things going on right now and they present several ways in which YOU can help us.

  • Our Clinton branch is hosting a softball tournament for our members and staff on May 20, and we could use some softball equipment. Do you have gloves, helmets, bats, etc. laying around your garage that you no longer use?
  • We are hosting a summer formal for our members in June, and we could use donations of formal wear, jewelry, etc. Do you have a suit or a gown/dress that’s just hanging in the closet that you can’t wear anymore?
  • We are wanting to set up a sort of fitness facility in all of our branches across the state, so if you have an treadmill, stationary bike, elliptical, rowing machine, weight machine, etc. that you no longer use, consider donating it to us.
  • We are ALWAYS accepting monetary donations. There are a number of needs right now including:
    • a group home expansion in Conway
    • a new Program Center in Conway
    • The Expressive Arts Program

Please reach out to our Director of Marketing, Chris Owen, if you’d like to help in any way. Thank you for Believing in the Power of Mental Health Recovery.
