Birch Tree Communities, Inc. is proud to welcome Dr. Jason Finley back to the organization as the Director of Pharmacy. Finley led the efforts to begin a pharmacy at Birch Tree before choosing to work for his family’s pharmacy in Benton, Arkansas for a short period.
Finley graduated from Harmony Grove High School and received a PharmD from the UAMS College of Pharmacy in 2006. He has been a pharmacist for 17 years and began his career with Birch Tree Communities in March 2011, leaving in September 2021.
“Jason started our pharmacy here at Birch and did a tremendous job getting it off the ground. He was an asset to our members and staff while with us. We are so happy to have him return in this capacity,” said Turner James, Chief Operations Officer. Finley officially began in the position as Director of Pharmacy on January 3.
“I have to say that this is my dream job. My mom retired from the Arkansas Health Center with 29 years of service, and my dad is a pharmacist with 30 years’ experience in Benton. I have deep roots in our mission to serve the members of Birch Tree Communities,” said Finley.
The Birch Tree Pharmacy opened to serve members by giving them a unique experience to package medications to custom fit their needs. The pharmacist educates members about medications, disease states, medication interactions, as well as over the counter medications that may interfere with prescription medications. The staff is available to answer questions for members while developing relationships that allow our members to be confident with medications and ensure that they receive excellent healthcare. The pharmacy works closely with the Birch Tree clinical staff as a valuable asset to our team.
