Clarksville, Ark., March 1, 2024 – Chief Executive Officer Dr. Brad Holloway, along with Nabholz Construction Corporation and Sowell Architects, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new program center at the Clarksville branch of Birch Tree Communities. The program center will be used to conduct daily rehabilitation treatment for adults living with a serious and persistent mental illness.

“Birch Tree Communities has played an integral role in the mental health system in Arkansas for 35 years this year,” said CEO Brad Holloway. “We are fortunate to be in a position to replace aging facilities and expand our much-needed services to adults across the state living with severe mental illness. The new program center will allow for increased programs and better access for the members that we serve.”

Angella Watson-McHalffey, LCSW, is the Clarksville Director of Branch Operations. The Clarksville location is one of the 12 branches of Birch Tree Communities. “It’s exciting for members, staff, and myself to be a part of Birch Tree Communities during this time of growth,” said Branch Director Angella Watson-McHalffey.  “The Clarksville team is looking forward with anticipation to have this new recovery center and the increased opportunities to serve our members and this community.”
