Blake Smith is a Certified Public Accountant and was named Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Birch Tree in February 2022. He is a graduate of Arkansas State University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, with an emphasis in Corporate Finance, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Smith has more than 14 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, and tax and has extensive knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) within the private sector. He also has 10 years of experience in not-for-profit accounting. He has completed both American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Not-For-Profit Certificates I and II and is a member of the AICPA and Arkansas Society of CPAs (ARCPA). Smith is a board member of Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services Foundation and serves on the Investment Committee.

In addition to being responsible for the financial oversight and health at Birch Tree, Smith is responsible for managing the information technology needs, including the maintenance of the existing network and implementing new solutions to achieve strategic IT objectives. He works daily to ensure that he and his team are developing and establishing and secure financial future for the organization.

Smith and his wife Betsy have two sons, Austin and Dylan. He spends evenings and weekends with family attending soccer and basketball games. When not attending sporting events, he enjoys playing guitar.
