Teneal Hill, APRN, RN, PMNHP-BC is the Director of Nursing and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Birch Tree Communities where she has worked for 24 years. She first visited Birch Tree with a high school psychology class and knew immediately that she wanted to serve the seriously mentally ill population.
Hill was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and moved to Benton, Arkansas when she was in high school. After graduation from Benton High, she went on to begin the pursuit of an undergraduate degree at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She completed her degree at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock receiving a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Hill returned to UALR for a nursing degree in 2005 and received a Master of Nursing with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2014. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology.
Hill and her family, including a spoiled Goldendoodle, currently live in Benton. Her husband is a pharmacist at a local hospital, and her son is active in sports. In her free time, Hill enjoys working out, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She loves to travel, especially back to Louisiana to visit family and eat Cajun food and crawfish, and to the beach.
